See the beating he took at the Kentucky game, or many other games. He certainly had bad games like every other athlete out there, but I never questioned his desire.
I'm sick and tired of you simpletons with your "Stafford just didn't care" or "Stafford just wasn't a college player." It's absolute BS. Stafford was the best QB we ever had. It's not his fault we had the worst defense ever under Mark Richt. Stafford could have won us two national titles if our D hadn't given up points like it was a bake sale for the last two years he was here. Stop blaming Stafford for the shortcomings of the team. It wasn't his fault.
I love Stafford, but his dream was to be a pro. I always knew he had it in him, to bad we didn't get to see him in a championship game while he was here.
I posted this link a week ago in the comments and I was surprised that nobody acknowledged it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making a post about it.
Stafford is a DGD. He makes the Dawg Nation proud!
Apparently his mom want him to change a couple of things.

ReplyDeleteIt was just a stinger. Every player should come back in that situation or never come out in the first place.
ReplyDeleteAnon 1258, please go play in traffic.
ReplyDeleteOr die in a grease fire.
ReplyDeleteOr drink bleach.
It was a separated shoulder, not a stinger you ninkumpoop.
ReplyDeleteStafford was one of those selfish players without leadership that was supposed to make us more of a "team" this year, right?
ReplyDeleteStafford will be a lot like Jim Plunkett. SOlid on a bad team, then go to a better team later in his career and rise to another level.
ReplyDeleteDamn good Dawg! Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteI'm stunned; I never saw this kind of desire from him when he was here
ReplyDeleteHe took his licks here

I never saw a lack of desire in Stafford at UGA. OUR D sucked, and FU and BAMA were at another level altogether.
ReplyDeleteRe: Stafford's purported lack of desire

I think that Stafford was just cut out to be an NFL player. Some guys are just wired like that.
ReplyDeleteTebow is a college player, Stafford is an NFL player. I think that he just saw UGA as his apprenticeship. Nothing wrong with that.
Also remember Flordia '08 when he was slow to get a few times but was always back in there. I will always pull for Stafford. Great guy.

ReplyDeleteI agree. The plain fact of the matter is UGA has never been able to put it all together. This is the difference between us and LSU/FL.
ReplyDeleteDespite GSB's yellow journalism:
ReplyDelete"North Campus generally was not as messy this football season as recent past seasons, but more improvement is needed, Adams said..."

ReplyDeleteMontez Robinson arrested again. If the ajc.com article is true, I don't think we need this kind of guy around Athens. Send him packing...
ReplyDeleteSad to say, but this guy sounds like a wreck.
ReplyDeleteThe quotes by his girlfriend are straight out of an ABC After School Special.
absoulutely cool, too bad the Lions are having such a bad year, but expected
ReplyDeleteExtra irony points that Mo Mass catches a TD pass for the Browns in the game.
