The Search for Uga VIII

The Seiler's are waiting on two litters sired by UGA VII to sort through candidates for the Uga VIII job. If the puppy they choose is still...well...too much of a puppy for the first game, then Russ might get a few more early season games.

Why do I imagine a scene out of the Lion King when I read this article?

I can see it now: Coach Richt as Rafiki holding up baby UGA VIII in Sanford Stadium as we all bow. "It's the ciiiircle of life!"

Seiler said he has never inbred any of his dogs, however, and he said the PETA message was more about creating a stir than any genuine concern about the health of the dogs.

“We never have inbred as accused by PETA. We have never done that and never will. We find a suitable female that has absolutely no blood relations to the Uga line,” Seiler said. “I know PETA, and they may have a good cause, but that’s not really their cause. Their cause is publicity, and if they can dupe (journalists) into writing what they’re doing, that’s all they want. They just want their names to be in the paper. They’re quick to criticize and they don’t have their facts straight.”

Sonny hits it right on the nail.

Has anybody else heard the rumor that there is going to be a 75% reduction in athletic scholarships offered at Georgia colleges this fall because of the budget crisis? Sure hope this isn't true.
Just wondering.

Come on guys - update your site already! You used to be a staple for my daily dawg fix, but it's dreadful to keep checking in just to see the same week-old posts time and time again. Come on - there's plenty of good news to talk about from JR day, to the beatdown of the gaytors Sat and even spring practice right around the corner...throw your loyal dawgs a bone once in a while!

Just show up at the game. Only about 20,000 or so show up every year. It's $5 at the gate. It's not a tough ticket.
