I'll take the 3 CWS during his tenure. I can't imagine the difficulties being a college baseball coach and having to deal with a limited amount of scholarships and the MBL draft. Gotta be tough to balance those in recruiting.<BR/>-- Richt-Flair

I will take the consistency of a college world series every other year. I know a lot of other programs would love to have his record. Yes they lost the last game, but there were only 2 teams playing on the last day of the season and we were one of them. He is the same coach that coached all the wins that got them there in the first place.

Good for him. I think this is long deserved. If anything, I hope this is the start of a bigger commitment from the athletic department towards our baseball program (and hopefully the softball as well). Damon Evans can see what Perno can do with little, let's see what he can do with a lot.
