Longest July ever

It seems like SEC Media Days are usually earlier in the year.  The July lull pre-start of the media crush from SEC Media Days is exceptionally long this year.  Or is it just me?

Quietest off season I can remember. Some of that is good ... fewer legal incidents.  But it's really quiet.

Are you pumped-up about NCAA 10 coming out tomorrow?

I'm so old school, I still play the one with Reggie Bush on the cover. lol.

I downloaded the demo for PS3 last year. I thought it was awful. How does it look for this year?

I'm afraid it's not much better than last year, but who knows. . .

You got to buy it every year even if the only change is updated rosters.

As a former redcoat, I'm excited about the new game having the marching bands on the field. That addition plus the updated rosters is reason enough for me to buy it.

Quiet is good, its always quietest before the storm, in this case a Ga Bulldawg storm!!!

Can't be ghost. Didn't spell anything wrong.

Will you be posting any alternate covers for this year's game?

quiet is good. the spector of death (in our case, our football) is usually quiet.

Watched the '08 South Carolina game today. Wow, our offense was really ineffective for most of the game- so inconsistent, especially the OL. And thank goodness SC's offense sucked because our defense was pretty inconsistent also.

For USc, the luckiest break they catch each year is playing UGA early. They are, on average, less talented and less deep that UGA, so playing UGA early provides them with a corp of fresh, uninjured players.

Come November, they are a different team altogether.

I would gladly switch USc and FL on the schedule each year as UF's trend is to greatly improve as the year progresses.

Hey PWD,

I haven't upgraded mine since the one with Reggie Bush on the cover either. I've tried a few in the past, but the slight changes weren't enough to push me into getting an upgrade.

As for the lull... no news is good news, especially on the criminal side of things. However, this is just another way for us to stay way under the radar this year. I'll let UF worry about beating down UT instead of us. Here's to hoping we take every team to the woodshed this year. With Cox and King, the chapel bell rings!

PWD,

If you've got nothing else to do, how about changing that banner on the front page? It's been there FOREVER. Always glad to help.

Hank,

I was thinking the same thing. I'll do it tonight.

Any word on what the contribution cut-off is for new season tickets this year?

To anyone who tailgates with Direct TV and an LCD tv - what size generator do you use?

Thanks!

I think a nice deep cell battery and inverter will power it, that said THINK HONDA, their smallest inverter generator will work, ..the others sound like riding lawnmowers.

How much noise do you want from an 8-4 team? I most certainly do not want to hear from CWM! CWM, "Our guys look great in practice! We are swarming to the ball, and arriving with bad intentions!" Come on...everyone knows that this will be CWM last season as our DC. Say goodnight Willie! Goodnight Wille.

Let's not forget, Florida wanted Charlie Strong gone before last year. Now he's a genius with 11 returning starters. If someone steps up at rush end, Willie (and our defense) will be fine. With that being said, I'd much rather have Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp here, both great DC's and UGA grads.

but there's no proven end on the roster. willie is toast fellas.

There was not a proven end on the roster before the season started in 2002. From experience we must conclude that not having a proven end means we have no chance at winning the conference or having a top 5 finish.

I use a Honda 1000, it works fine, and you won't disturb anyone next to you. In fact, I've had people come by and ask how are powering the TV and Sat because they can't hear it.?
