Video Replay: Georgia vs. Auburn 2006

I've posted this before, but I never get tired of it. UGAMummra's "Massacre on the Plains" video. Good times.

I almost felt sorry for Cox that day.
Almost.

Was it ever known if Cox was injured that game? Obviously our defense came to play and made him pay, but some of those throws reminded me of Marty McFly trying to play guitar while his hand was disappearing.

Paul,

Speaking of great UGA-AU clips, there's no youtube of the 2002 Michael Johnson catch on these here internets.

Some UGA fan needs to come correct and make it available.

BTW, great clips and fitting soundtrack.

I need to check on that.

I've got the Johnson catch. I can post that as well. Glad to see people still enjoy the Massacre on the Plains vid.

Go for it Blawger.

Would love to see some of the clips from that 02 game--Musa's long run, Stinchcomb's fumble recovery, Fred's catch along the sideline, and of course MJ's catch.

Awesome job with The Massacre on the Plains.

Re: Cox..

He had a tender leg coming into the game, but remember that he hadn't been sacked since halftime of their win over UF. IIRC, that was a stretch of 3.5 games. First play on D, Ray Gant blew him up. Didn't know it at the time, but that was game over.

I will never feel sorry for him either. He was trying to pick fights all day with Kelin and Charles Johnson.. not to mention him flicking off the UGA student section as they left the field in '05.

I will never forget the feeling of amazement when I looked up at the halftime stats posted on the Jumbotron and saw that Cox had a total of 7 passing yards in the entire first half. Can we play them at 11:30am every year?

Driving back to Birmingham after the game, I'd swear the electronic traffic board flashed:

"Welcome Home. No one in this town can say sh!t to you."

And you know what? It was right.

Great game, I live in Columbus, Ga which is about 30-45 minutes from Auburn. After hearing all the inbred rednecks run their mouths for weeks, I was more than pleased with the effort and outcome. In 2002, we need to give praise to Sean Jones for keeping us in that game not only with his defense, but his return game gave us a spark when we needed it.

Brandon Cox = Ultimate Wuss Frat Boy. Pick a fight with Charles Johnson then hide behind your offensive line buddy. Classy.

Westerdawg, great stuff!!!! Need to save that to my favorites.
Now...why don't we ever play like that against the gators...sigh.

Not to ruin the love for the Dogs, but I heard Hebron is out for the year. True?

My favorite part of watching the video was thinking, "I guess this is just the UGA highlights," and then realizing it wasn't. Auburn just hadn't scored yet.

jasonc- yep. he's gone. I'll have some thoughts on that later in the day. Dawgpost.com says he's going to GMC for a year.

Can somebody post clips to what I believe was our last home AU win, the one where Odell had that pick-6. Thx
