Warren St. John is a Dirty Rat Bastard

Ok, not really.

But he sounds like a Dirty Rat Bastard if you read the ridiculous sounding lawsuit filed against him by Ron St. John (no relation) over Warren's use of Ron's RV on the cover of Warren's book Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer (RJYH). Gawker has the story. (hat tip to Orson)

Not sure who Warren St. John is? Warren wrote RJYH, aka the best college football book that I've read in a very long time. Here's a review and here's another one. He is by all accounts (well other than the guy suing him) a very good guy. If you haven't read the book yet, check it out. If you've ever missed a wedding for a football game, this is the book for you.

"The Toad" is on the cover.

According to Gawker's characterization of the suit, WSJ misappropriated and diluted the identity of the RV pictured on the cover of his book (the RV is apparently known as "The Toad") to such an extent that it is no longer synonymous with Alabama football.

That kind of begs the question whether or not The Toad was ever synonymous with Alabama football. I've seen a picture of Warren with the Bear, but I've never seen a picture of the Bear with the Toad.

We may need to reconvene the Georgia Sports Blog Court, which has been inactive since finding Ian Smith non-guilty of drunk. in. pub-lick

Dawgnoxious, we may indeed need to bring the court back into session.

However, I would caution you that Mr. Roy St. John is in a rather litigious mood right now. I would prefer it would keep his lawsuits focused on Mr. Warren St. John and not Mr. Westerdawg.

Especially since Mr. Westerdawg barely has a pot to piss in or a window from whence to fling it.
