Nico, a regular Georgia Sports Blog commenter, has a couple of interesting articles up at the Eccentric Southern Gentleman regarding activites in Alabama.

-- Birmingham to Get Bowl Game -- Nico talks about recent reports from SI.com and the Birmingham News that ESPN is thinking of bringing a bowl back to B'ham. Personally, I was unaware that Legion Field had a working upper deck to host events of any size. This would be a MAC vs. CUSA show down.

-- Alabama Stadium Expansion Pics -- Bama is set to join UT, UGA and LSU in the 90k attendee club next year. They are double decking one of the endzones. He has the progress photos online.
