I'm the last person on these here internets to mention this, but 5-star OT prospect Clifton Geathers looks very promising towards making his grades according to the AJC and other reports.
That's great news for a Dawg team in need of immediate help at OT in 2006 and 2007.
It's frustrating a bit in that it sounds (from other reports) like Geathers still wants to play right away....at defensive end.
This sort of thing usually works out and falls under the trust the coaches heading I guess.

Not so fast, my friend. I'd love to see Geathers cruise right into school, but I'm afraid he may have to navigate the "Adams Inquisition" committee before he's accepted into school. If that's the case, it wont surprise me if Professor Torquemada, or whoever the sock puppet Czar Mike has running the committee is, refuses to admit Geathers.
That's be jusssssssssst great, wouldnt it? You think Tuberville has this kind of problem at Lowder U? You think The Great Pumpkin gets a lot of flack from his admissions department on a kid who is otherwise qualified by NCAA standards?
I can picture Sylvester Croom licking his lips now. It ain't pretty. I could be wrong, but I'm worried.
Not so fast all school!,
In this case he went to a reputable school to attain the necessary requirments. He may also be LD.
I think if the committee blocks him there will be legal ground for his family. One I might add who is well financed, smart and very savvy when it comes to these matters. I hope Czar Adams and his puppets try to stop this, they may find themselves in court.
i don't know all school.
Who has Adams really rejected.
the DB that went to ARK had been expelled from HS, got into trouble twice more and lied about all of it on his test.
Chaney at MSU had his score jump 40% in one try and couldn't replicate it.
Larry Turner had his score jump in hoops from like a 13 to a 21 by taking a walkin test in NJ after failing it like 6 times in GA. Then it took 6 more tries to work up to the 21 again.
AJohnson was denied by the entire SEC after his SAT was cooked.
He denied Brunner and should've denied Cole.
I think Adams sucks for lots of things, but he seems to go a good job of keeping a lot of the riff raff out.
