Brian from MGoBlog made it into the World Series of Poker which is happening as I type this. He made it out of Day 1B, and into Day 2 (yesterday). Apparently, he was cruising along when he angered the poker gods.
Bust out holding pocket aces to a guy holding 10-7....after losing most of his stack holding pocket kings just minutes before. You know that you took a brutal hit when you make PokerNews.com on Day 2 for losing.
Brutalis.

I can't imagine taking two in a row like that in as big a tournament as the WSOP...taking bad beats in your neighborhood game is one thing, taking them in a bigtime tournament you may never get to play in again is quite another. I would, however, like to see what his pre-flop raise was in relation to the blinds though. A big raise makes a 10-7 offsuit fold unless the guy playing them is a fool. Then again, you don't want to chase out everyone and only get the blinds when you've got a hand that big. Just a bad beat all the way around.
