Jason Johnson profiled in the Chicago Tribune

Georgia Bulldog running back Jason Johnson, a former walk-on from Chicago, was profiled today in the Chicago Tribune. The article describes his transition from Chicago public-league star to walk-on to scholarship tailback. It's an inspirational story.

Separately, Josh Kendall says you can expect Johnson to get his career high for carries against Troy in relief of Knowshon Moreno.

While Moreno stole the show at G-Day, Johnson had some nice runs. I would like to see him get 5-10 carries this week to help keep Moreno fresh for Auburn. I wish him the best.

Great story. Though I read a similar story in a local paper about how his mother lost her mind and started crying when he called and told her that he had gotten a scholarship. I wish the writer had included that part.

Stories like this should be required reading in high school so kids can see that hard work pays off.

I love this story. This is why I love College football...and Coach Richt.(all though other coaches do the same)

Go DAWGS. Continue the mo....

BTW I was obviously worried for no reason last week!
