This ran a few days ago on ESPN. It's about Louis Mulkey, one of the nine Summerville, SC fire fighters killed last year in a massive blaze. He was an assistant football and basketball coach for AJ Green's high school program. Unbelievable story. Run time is 10 minutes, and it's worth every second. Ht - StatefansNation.

I agree! I saw it on ESPN before leaving for work that morning. It definitely puts things in the proper perspective. It it doesn't get you, you might want to call your Doc!

I watched it over the weekend and completely lost it.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who lost it during that thing. Good gracious.
They got with the helmet. Now I have to tell everybody at work my allergies are acting up when they ask why my eyes are red and watery.
Oh. My. GOD. That video is insane. It took me an hour to watch it, because I could only stand a couple of minutes at a time...
I remember the fire. And I remember the game and the crazy ending. I was only following it because of the AJ Green connection. But I didn't know the connection between the fire and the game.
If that dont put tears in your eyes... I dont think your heart is beating! That is the most special state chapionship I have ever seen.
No damn wonder A.J. has the character he does.
the first time I saw that on ESPN, I knew about the almost buzzer beater and AJ Green. I didnt know anything about Mr. Mulkey. I am not ashamed to admit I choked up and cried when I saw it. God bless that man, and his family, and those kids who obviously cared about him and the dream that he had for them as basketball players.
you see things like this that happen to a guy like that, and it makes you appreciate your own life a little more. And, maybe, encourages you to do something more with your own life than sit back and watch other people do things.
What a tremendous example of the good we can all do with our lives. Look at the lives he touched. He made a difference. Very inspiring.

I had never heard about this. OMG! This is very touching and my eyes are so red right now from all the crying. Mr. Mulkey made an impact on those kids and it is very apparent that he meant a lot to them.
