Your Saturday Is Booked

Today, on your way home from work, stop by the QT and buy yourself a large serving of your beverage of choice, some beef jerkey, and a bag of Funyons.  Saturday, after you wake up, spend time with your loved ones.  Kiss your wife/girlfriend, play with your children, cook them breakfast, and then tell them to leave you the hell alone from noon until seven.  After they leave, get your QT purchases handy and settle in front of the tube.  Why?  FSN South and SportSouth are airing a Dawg extraveganza Saturday.

The regional sports network will not only carry the Central Michigan game, but are clearing out their entire afternoon lineup for UGA-centered programming.  Here's the schedule:

Noon – UGA and His Family – Premiere
12:30 p.m. – Under the Lights: SEC Football Media Days
1 p.m. – 2008 Georgia College Football Preview
1:30 p.m. – The Mark Richt Show – Premiere
2 p.m. – At Home with Mark Richt
2:30 p.m. – The New Avenues Dawg Day Saturday Pregame Show
3:30 p.m. – Central Michigan @ Georgia – LIVE in HD

Here's the promo:

Maybe you should let the kids stick around for the Uga special.

That's pretty awesome. I've actually been kind of disappointed over the summer because I thought for sure that the stations that run replays of old games would run more Georgia games, what with the high ranking and all.

Nope, just the 2007 Bama game, the 2003 SEC Championship game, and I think the 2002 Cocktail Party. The last two don't exactly hold fond memories for Dawgs fans.

Yet another reason to NOT live in Florida.

I get the Gator-centric Sun Sports channel, and not Sportsouth or FSN South, etc.

Sniff sniff

Is the game going to broadcast in HD on Comcast in Atlanta? FSN is advertising that the game will be in HD, but the Comcast guide says that the FSN HD channel is "Off Air" Saturday during gametime.

I'm happy to say that, contrary to my post above, I WILL get this game (and the pre-game show immediately before it) on HD in Orlando!

Brighthouse Cable. I feel bad for those of you still stuck with Comcast. What a bunch of geniuses at that place...

I spoke to comcast and no one can give me a direct answer about the game being on FSNHD. I f'n hate them!
