Men's Basketball will be hosting an Open Practice on Monday, November 3 from 6-8 pm at Stegeman Coliseum. Admission is free and open to the public.

Other Basketball News
Separately, the Stegeman renovations to the new concession stands are moving right along. They will be located near sections H & J. This is the side entrance closer to the football practice fields.

The new concessions area will feature grills and fryers which will expand the menu at this stand to include chicken fingers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hamburgers/cheeseburgers and fries among the regular concession items such as beverages, popcorn, peanuts, pretzels and other snacks. The existing 2 full-service stands will remain as they have been. This project is advance of the later renovation of Stegeman that was discussed a few weeks ago.

I don't know if the new concession stands will be open for Nov. 3rd. I doubt it. But it's b-ball related so I'm dumping all hoops nuggets on you at once.

November 15th's schedule is:

Mississippi State at Alabama
Georgia at Auburn
South Carolina at Florida
Vanderbilt at Kentucky
Troy at LSU
Louisiana-Monroe at Ole Miss

I'd be shocked if we weren't the 3:30 game. I guess if we lose the next two they could decide to take USC/Florida, but I still doubt it. At worst we'd have the same record as USC with a win over them.

..and I'd be shocked if SCU/UF isn't at 3:30.

TV folks love them some Spurrier storylines.

so is this a legitimate "they would do the same thing if people weren't in the stands" kind of practice or would it be like a scrimmage with maybe a dunk contest at the end to get people excited?

hobnail_boot,

for what it's worth, USC/UF was at 7:45 last year in favor of UGA/AU. In 2006, CBS picked the game up. In 2005, the first year Spurrier was at South Cackalack, it fell all the way to JP.

I think they'll choose on the importance of the game rather than any storyline related to Spurrier that is mostly played out by now.

Does CBS have any 6-day options left? I suppose they could wait until the cocktail party and pick the game's winner and let the loser fall to ESPN.

What about corndogs? I love me some corndogs.

But, considering the Auburn track record this year, we may well be looking at another early Raycom telecast. If CBS does pick USC/UF and Bama is still undefeated, I'd say EPSN takes Bama. That leaves us with Raycom. Of course, that's looking at how it stands right now. We have to beat LSU, case closed. Monday down - get here Saturday, get here!!!

I'd think we'll see this
Vandy-KY RAYCOM
GA-FLA Winner on CBS
GA-FLA Loser on ESPN
Bama-Miss St ESPN2 Late Game

the auburn game is 3 weeks away. shut up or talk about basketball, which is the purpose of this post.

We will get to see Stegeman screw up a chicken sandwich, just like they find a way to screw up hot dogs. How can you screw up making a hot dog? Sometimes, what goes on in that building is beyond all logic.

The amazing thing is that I think they manage to make the food at Foley even worse than it is at Stegeman. How hard would it be to set up some sort of grill at an outdoor stadium?
