Problems with Remote Publish

I'm having some problem publishing blog articles. I wrote something up at 5 today, and it hasn't published. Someone kick the server again for me.

Update....this is what I wrote earlier this afternoon. Weird.
ESPN reports that Mike Leach has pulled his name from the search process at Washington. Too bad, the idea of him having an actual Pirate Ship anchored behind the stadium in Seattle should've been enough to lure him away. The NY Times also confirms the story, and suggests that he's now the front runner in Auburn. I still don't see the personality fit.

In other news, Mack Brown feels confident that he can keep Will Muschamp in Texas and avoid his return to Auburn.

Meanwhile, Auburn's solid recruiting class is getting a bit shaky. Scout.com has downgraded two three star linebackers to "soft verbal" in the wake of Tuberville's departure. More importantly, Raymond Cotton (4 star QB commit) will take some additional visits to Ole Miss and Arkansas pending the new hire. Cotton's father also says that Philip Lutzenkirchen (4 star TE commit) will attend college at the same place as Cotton, and both kids are now opening their search a bit.

Typically, you can expect the kids to waver, but most usually stick to their commitments. The exceptions are when the coaching staff brings in a disruptive / wildly different system OR the former recruiting coach goes to a rival school and calls on the kid. Given Auburn's situation at quarterback, Cotton is a MUST sign kid for the incoming coach.

I'm already gritting my teeth in anticipation of the massive humiliation I'm going to receive for asking this... but what's up with all the pirate references when talking about Mike Leach? Did I miss an EDSBS post or something?

Someone help a brother out, here.

Ha! Looks like some camera ops we had at the TV station in Albany I used to work at!

Charles,

Leach has a fascination with all things pirate. They did a peice on him last week I think on ESPN and his office has a rather large skeleton pirate in it and he has pirate flags throughout the office as well.

Here is the best article written about Mike Leach. It was written by Michael Lewis at the New York Times. Leach is a very intelligent man, and has a lot of passions, one of which is his interest in the history of pirates.

Most of those candidates seem out of reach unless they can get a shortterm lease on Scrooge McDuck's money pit. I think at this point Leach is the list.

And I don't think Lutzenkirchen is as concerned with them playing together. The AJC is reporting that he visited or plans to visit several schools, none of which is Arkansas or Ole Miss.
