Kudos to the AJC's Chip Towers for his apology to Mercer

He blew it in calling Mercer's hand gesture during his dunk over Morris "derogatory." Basically he was saying that Mike Mercer shot Randolph Morris the bird after the dunk.

The AJC now has an article up saying it was just an index finger, and Chip Towers has a personal apology up on his "blog."

He blew it, and he admitted that he was wrong. You can't ask for more than that.

The funny thing is....it actually wasn't Mercer at all. It was this kid.
