The limited number of off weeks is causing some teams to scramble says Ivan Maisel over at ESPN. Several schools still have open slots for 2006. UGA is full for 2006, but still has a remaining slot for 2007.
Note: Yes dad, Finebaum has a blog. You can read it while wearing your "I HEART Finebaum" Shirt.
Lest the ACC fans crow about their non-conference schedules, Maisel says that "the ACC schools took great pains to make the 12th game settle softly on the palate. Only four ACC schools play more than one nonconference game against a BCS conference school or Notre Dame." Georgia Tech is one of the four having scheduled UGA and Notre Dame next year.
Or as we like to call those games at the Georgia Sports Blog..."Two More Losses."

There is no way possible that I could imagine not enjoying getting up on a Saturday and driving to Athens to watch the Dawgs play a football game, but.....
Going to see them play Hawaii
...then...
Going to see them play Vanderbilt
...then...
Going to see them play UL Monroe
...then...
Going to see them play Duke
...then...
Going to see them play Ole Miss
...then...
Going to see them play FIU
...then...
Going to see them play Mississippi State.........
GT schedules with our eyes bigger than our bellies. With conference games with Miami, Virginia Tech and Clemson every year (and FSU on off years) ... not to mention the yearly UGa game, lets just throw in teams like Notre Dame and Auburn OOC for the fun of it.
Beating Auburn home and home was fun though - take that you railroad greasing barners.
In situations like that I just rule for the game to be called a scoreless tie by the refs after going through 10 overtimes.
