The blogosphere is alive with rumors that Georgia Tech's well respected defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta might be headed to Michigan given that defensive coordinator Herrmann is looking around (on his own or Carr's urging).
Orson's line had me in pieces:
Either way [Tenuta's Scheme is] fun to watch and yields good results, and can get you to 7-5 with even a mediocre, mincing, five-play offense coordinated by a man who freebases Metamucil in between calls.
It would be a large blow to the Tech Empire to lose Tenuta.
Tenuta whispers "Chan, scoring some points would help too."

A blow to the Tech Empire? Eight city blocks is hardly an empire. The Tech Nation, perhaps. Of course, we already know the Tech Nation is largely an importer of IT call centers and an exporter of tea. And smells like curry.
Dawgnoxious, you're getting confused. We're not Duke.
don't worry dan, nobody would ever confuse tech with Duke. Duke at least has a basketball program...
Oh the sweet delicious irony of UGA fans talking trash about basketball programs . . .
Nobody claims UGA is a Bball powerhouse. We just claim that we beat Tech, regularly.
We know that we'd take Tenuta over Martinez in a snap, tbough. The guy's built a very good d out of Chan Gailey's recruits.
Read that last sentence again, and you'll understand exactly how good a job he's done.
I thought maybe Tenuta was saying, "Chan....I wish I could quit you. Really. Because your ()*&@*(^ offense is KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!"
Not exactly a moment of Zen, but Tenuta may be getting a little weary of polishing his reputation as a genius by propping up the Billy Bob Gailey regime. He must feel like the football version of Alan Greenspan trying to prop up the ecomony of Argentina.
Someone get this man a Tums. And a ticket on the first thing smoking out of Hartsfield-Jackson-Campbell-Hosea Williams International Airport to anyplace with a college football team that actually understands that you need a good defense AND an offense that can gain more than 2 yards average per play.
