2. Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia: Though last season was Moses' first as a starter, he was so productive he very nearly left early for the NFL. The Bulldog defensive end finished second in the SEC with 11.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss. Before last season, Moses had rare opportunities to display his ability while backing up three-time All-American David Pollack. Blessed with instincts and a great first step, expect a monster season from Moses in 2006.I'm not saying I put zero stock in this because I'm not a believer in Moses. I'm a huge fan. I just put little faith in Fox Sports expertise in judging much of anything. Especially interesting that UGA only has 1 player listed in their Top 100. Then again, I'm not sure what Senior on the team other than Moses is a Top 100 player. Who am I missing?
Can Moses lead us to the promised land?

Tra Battle comes to mind as one who would be in the top 100 perhaps. Tony Taylor might also slip in there, if he has a big year.
Tra Battle? No way. Way too small for the NFL. If he was a lot faster...maybe. But, he was a walk-on for a reason. He's never had the 'measurables'.
Tony Taylor, Jarvis Jackson, Dan Inman, Nick Jones, Ken Shackleford, Martrez Milner, and Ray Gant are the only others with a real chance of being drafted (and I don't see any of them as a 'Top 100').
Ely-Kelso could be one of the top punters available, but they're not usually drafted.
Eh. Picking who's going to be the top picks in the 2007 draft at this point is kind of like predicting who are going to be the main contenders for the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations in 2016. Still, it's good to know that Q-Mo is starting to get the attention he deserves.
They only list seniors too, so no draft eligible underclassmen like Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson or Sidney Rice.
In other words, that list is basically worthless.
What's so unusual is that, having covered Quentin Moses for four years during his time at Cedar Shoals and Tony Taylor for four years at Oconee County, I would have beat my house that Taylor would be the better NFL prospect. There were so many things wrong with Moses, primarily stemming from his work ethic to his focus on basketball (saw him score 40 points and pull down 16 boards in an upset of South Atlanta in the Sweet 16 of Class AAAA), that I was actually stunned Georgia would sign him.
Taylor, on the other hand, was a monster for Oconee County. He was the second-best high school athlete I ever covered (behind the great Monte Williams of Commerce) and my athlete of the year in 2001. When you rush for close to 1,000 yards, pick off five or six passes and record six interceptions, you're a pretty good football player (and he was All-Area in basketball and soccer ... in fact, his hoops skills are vastly underrated ... he could have played point guard at a Division I-A school).
But Taylor's had injury problems and Moses busted his tail at Georgia. It's paid off.

Just wanted to say that I also have no faith in most TV analysts, and the least of these is the Fox Sports folks. That said, Moses is a huge talent. But, he will draw double teams, and that means, imo, that CJ will look like the monster. It might be that we will have the best DE tandem in the country.
