This photo from SI.com (I think) is an all-time classic. It's from the 2004 LSU game. I saved it from someone's MySpace page, and I forgot the link. If it was on your site, shoot me a note.

Believe that's from ESPN the magazine. Regardless, awesome pic. So THAT's why they call 'em "big uglies".
I wish I could recall his handle, but the guy who took that photograph used to (and still might) post over on the DawgVent. He's actually got a website with that and many other great shots. I believe he is a UGA grad.
I'll try to hunt it down.
Reminds me of "Night Train" Lane with the clothesline
This picture demonstrates a very fine example of the "Bubba Smith Tackling Technique." Bubba, of course, is the former Michigan St/Baltimore Colt who was an All Pro DE for several years in the NFL.
Bubba was asked about his keys for reading defenses, and he said something like this: "I just grab everyone and start throwing guys out until I find the one with the ball."
Dude did some excellent Miller Lite commercials, in addition to his work in the Police Academy series, which (in my opinion) was cruelly overlooked by Oscar. His autobiography was a thoughtful analysis of his life in sports titled "Kill, Bubba, Kill."
by the way, I know Inman's an OFFENSIVE lineman. Maybe the frustration of not (technically) being able to grab and tackle people is what makes him so surly.
Aw man, as an LSU fan that one stings. It's like the previous three clips (including the kneel on the one) aren't bad enough.
That was a beatdown of the highest order. I remember thinking "so this is what it must feel like to be an Ole Miss fan (Georgia fans, feel free to insert Tech).
Keep up the great work on the sight.
Thanks anon.
You know, I've never seen UGA play better against a good team than we did that day. Amazing.
At least, you guys could take something positive away from it. "Well, we're still the defending national champs, and Saban will figure it out."
When you're on the receiving end of one of those coming off a 5-6 or 7-4 season with a questionable coaching staff, there's nothing positive you can walk away with. It's harsh.

My guess and it is just a guess, the safety blitz didn't work as planned on that play.
that's not a blitz ch mike, it's a kick, as evidenced by the holder kneeling behind Inman.
And I'm pretty sure it's SI, that looks like SI type in the top corner, and they always do a "week in pictures" deal near the front of the magazine.
It's from espn the magazine.
SI uses a serif typeface in their "Leading Off" section at the beginning of the magazine.
espn uses a non-serif typeface.
it's the extra point after Thomas Brown's TD
