Blog Poll Ballot -- Week 3

Blog Poll Ballot for Week 3. "Delta" shows how much I moved them from last week.

Two things you're going to think are odd:
  • Tennessee -- "But Westerdawg, they barely beat Air Force. How can you move them up four spots?" In 2004, UGA gave up 294 yards rushing and 28 points to Div I-AA Georgia Southern. UGA finished the season with the #15 ranked run defense in the nation. GSU was running the wishbone, just like Air Force was. It's a system you see once every 3-5 years. It's hard to prepare for. To think that UT will suck b/c of the Air Force game is wishful thinking.

  • Iowa - "Dude, they barely beat 'Cuse. WTF?" I know. I'm not comfortable with that pick. If they continue to look suck, I'll continue to move them down.

Actually, Tennessee will suck from here on because of injuries. I think the injuries suffered on both sides of the ball at the hands (talons) of Air Force will be too much to beat the Gators. Good pick up on the wishbone though!

Actually, I think they call it the "Flexbone". When I was in high school in the 1980s, we called it the "Hammbone".

LSU's victory was much more impressive than ND's. Can't believe that even you have fallen into the ridiculous hype machine.

Hey Jenny Slater's voting is RETARDED...

Anon - you can't possibly be serious.

First off, I hate Notre Dame.

Second off, Arizona sucks crap through a straw. Over the past 2-3 years, they are the Pac-10 equivalent of Miss State or Ole Miss. They are no longer the Desert Swarm, and more like the Desert Dingleberry.

Penn State is the defending Big 10 Champ. While their new QB is apparently a raging bed wetter, they would beat Arizona by 30 if they played tomorrow.

I like LSU's team a ton, and if they beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare this weekend, they will be the #2 (at worst) team on my ballot.

But you can't say that Notre Dame doesn't look impressive. Not with a straight face.

To compare beating the smoke fetching Wildcats of Arizona to beating Penn State is absurd.

Beat Auburn. Most of the SEC is pulling for you.

What about Tennessee managing only 31 points against a Richard Bell defense?

;-)
