The Big 12 has confirmed that the loser of their title game will hit the Cotton Bowl (source: Dallas Morning News via the Mercury News). Nebraska hasn't been to the Cotton Bowl since Jan. 1, 1980. The Dallas Morning News also reports that Arkansas is headed to the Cotton if they lose the SECC Game. A move that makes a ton of sense for the Razorbacks.
Also, the Pac-10 schools have confirmed most of their bowl destinations.

Notre Dame deserves no BCS game; who have they beaten? I don't agree that Tech/Wake are "worthy", but winning a conference is winning a conference, and that is how the BCS is setup, unfortunately. I highly doubt ND could win ANY conference. Hell, I doubt they win 8 games if they played a quality schedule.
I believe the last time the Cornhuskers were in the Cotton Bowl the great I.M. Hipp was their I-back. A name that stands the test of time.
I agree with the writer, for the most part, and Anonymous @ 12:25. Notre Dame hasn't beaten anyone in the past two years. Their biggest win is over GT.
That's astonishing. They've lost almost every bowl they've played in the past 10 years, they haven't beaten a top 10 team in 2 years and they're being considered for a BCS slot?
Like the above poster said, Wake and GT will have earned it. If ND played in a conference and won their conference they'd deserve their spot, but when your season comes down to playing only 3 good teams, and one (GT) shouldn't even be ranked and you got blowned out by the other 2, you don't deserve anything.
Anon 4:14. You state that ND has lost almost every bowl game it's played in the last ten years. That implies that they've won a bowl game over the past ten years. They haven't.
The last bowl game they won was the 1993-94 Cotton. That's right, the 1993-94 Cotton.
I believe their current 8 game bowl losing streak is tied for the longest in the history of college football.
They've been a lot worse the past decade than people realize.
