And in Auburn News...
Per Wildcatdaily.com:
An agreement in principle has been reached between Kansas State University and Auburn University to open the 2007 football season at Auburn. No word yet on whether or not Auburn has to provide a return trip.
Kansas State associate athletic director Jim Epps confirmed this morning that the game will be played on Sept. 1, and will be televised by ESPN.
For Dawg Fans this means the ESPN inventory for Sept. 1st just got a bit more crowded. I still think we're going to have an ESPN or ESPN2 night game against Oklahoma State, and I believe a game between Georgia and Oklahoma State will be a better TV draw than KSU vs. Auburn. I also still think we're kicking off between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
SEC Non-Conference Games of Interest in 2007:
- Alabama vs. Florida State (Jacksonville)
Kansas State at Auburn
USF at Auburn
Oklahoma State at Georgia
Virginia Tech at LSU
Ole Miss at Wake Forest
Missouri at Ole Miss
South Carolina at UNC
Tennessee at Cal
Mississippi State at West Virginia
- Florida State at Florida
Georgia at Georgia Tech
Clemson at South Carolina
Kentucky vs. Louisville (site?)

I always wondered whu USC-UNC didn't play on a regular basis.
Border Wars Rock!
UGA-UF, Alabama-Tenn, and India-Pakistan.
*why
The Icehouses are starting to do the typing for me.
relax, UGA will have a night game...only at 5e so Auburn can have the night cap with Ron Franklin
similiar to the Boise St. drubbing two years ago
FWIW, it looks like the Bluegrass game will be played the first Saturday in September @ Lexington.

I wouldn't be shocked if Okie State wound up really close, if not in, the top 25 come the first of September. I have to agree with PWD in that the UGA-OSU matchup is more viewer-friendly than the K-State v. Auburn matchup. Just sayin'.
Ole Miss no go to Winston Salem next season. I think the return trip is in 2009.
Maybe The Decons will suck again by then!
Wow, Auburn must really be in a pickle to pick up a game against a decent opponent. Were Citadel and the School for the Blind booked or something?
