Update: I'm tinkering with Option 3 up top. Just to see how it looks.

Personally I like 2 or 4 the best
i'll give #4 a slight nod over #2.

Personally I like #3 the best and I'll tell ya why. 4 to me just looks like it could be some random nascar race or something, at least #3 you know what it is. But if I had to break a tie between 2 or 4, I'd go with 2. It gives you a sense of the enormity of the red sea at Sanford on a Saturday afternoon... I don't feel any good vibes from 4.

#3 gives you the best look...any GA fan will recognize the stadium tiers...
i'll go with "not #1". 2,3, and 4 look fine to me.
though I'd choose 4 if I had to. I think I'm in that one... not really.
Their all pretty good looking...why don't just rotate them every month?

I like #4.
I like 3 & 4 best, and of those, I think 4 is best because the way the crowd is out of focus the lettering of the title is clearer, and yet you can clearly tell it is a large crowd, wearing mostly red. I agree with the tiers being easy to recognize, but it also takes away from the name, imo. 1 is too plain, even if it is easy to read.

I like #3 or #4, but I agree with the commenters who like #3 the best because it's most clearly identifiable as Georgia's stadium.
Number 3 is my favorite. Its background is instantly identifiable as Sanford Stadium.

I like #3 the best because it at least has an identifiable piece of the stadium in it. Maybe, it's the nerd in me, but I think it would be cool if you used Georgia font instead of the Arial(?) you're currently using on the proposed banners. Georgia looks just as nice and the name of the font seems appropriate.

Number 3 is fantastic. The new logo will be a great little "upgrade" for the blog.

Nothing has been decided really. I'm just using the reaction to these 4 to give me directional guidance for how to best evolve the look.
I'll probably end up with something different than any of the 4.
And no...I won't use a coach pic.

No idea on Caleb's specific status.
Dean Legge at Scout.com a week or so ago said (paraphrase) that Caleb had gotten his score, and he made great progress. His classwork is also going well, and he plans to take the test again.
To me that means he hasn't nailed it yet. But in general it sounded directionally positive.
He can take it is as many times as he wants, but it's probably only offered 3 or 4 more times before Fall.

What was wrong with the original logo, before all the changes? I liked it!
I don't think the problem is the pic, its your font, looks cheap IMO. Kinda like CBSports circa 1992.
Maybe do something like Font/logo on the left on a plain color or merging of colors, and then a picture going lenghtwise to the right.
Just seems a little busy with font on top of a busy background.
Just my opinion, I'm not gay, NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!
