Rambo Commits to Georgia

He didn't ask to be recruited.

The Georgia Bulldogs may or may not have gotten a commitment from Rambo. Bacarri Rambo, an option quarterback, will likely play safety in college.

Mark Richt talked off the record with reporters about Rambo's recruitment. Saying, "I don't think you understand. I didn't come to recruit Rambo from you. I came here to rescue you from him."

Richt continued, "You don't seem to want to accept the fact that you're dealing with an expert in football. With a man who's the best, with hitting, on offense, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, to ignore weather, to live off the land. To eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Seminole County his job was to dispose of the other team's players. To kill, period! Win by attrition. Well, Rambo was the best!"

When asked about Georgia Tech recruiting him, Rambo replied, "I don't like it there, I mean, the people, there is no brotherhood between them." However, when asked to describe his own recruitment process, Rambo stated, "Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! You asked me I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win."

His high school coach described him saying, "Let me just say that Rambo is the best football player I've ever seen. A pure fighting machine with only a desire - to win a game that someone else lost. And if winning means he has to die - he'll die. No fear, no regrets. And one more thing, what you choose to call hell, he calls home."

(Note: The Dawgosphere would rejoice in Rambo signing with Georgia. The material would be endless. Obviously all the quotes above are from the movie.)
