They formed the VT logo in the student section during the Spring Game. Very classy. (Ht - Toon Dawg)
The Penn State student section normally forms an "S". As a point of comparison, a big game in Happy Valley looks like this:

Now I hate the entire Big 10, except for Penn State (although it still irks me that they take the ENTIRE back room at Famous Pub on gamedays).
Ohio State put the VT logo on their helmets for the spring game, FYI.

Don't be too hasty. I hate the Big 10 as well, but Ohio State also made a class move by wearing VT stickers on their helmets at their spring game.
