Donovan to the Magic (Please let this be true)

Eddie loves money

The Orlando Sentinel at 3:01 pm today posted a story saying that Billy Donovan is expected to be named the next coach of the Orlando Magic. This according to Magic team sources.

We're now in the pre-confirmation frenzy phase where the media is quoting the media as their source. (That's what I'm doing as well...only I'm not saying it's true. I'm just hoping that it's true). This is the type of thing that should get sorted out with 48 hours. To keep up with this breaking story, check the Google News update for Billy Donovan.

Dennis Felton is competing with the Gators for a variety of recruits including big man Tony Woods of Rome, Georgia (rumored to be transferring to Norcross). Woods is a 6'11" 230 lb center rated as the #15 prospect in the country by Rivals.com. Previous 2008 recruit Trey Thompkins is ranked #13 by the service. Instability at Florida could only help us with Woods.

Wow. This will turn out to be another Rick Pitino redux.

I'm not popping the champagne just yet - he could pull a Rich Rodriguez in a heartbeat. :-(

Is Woods really going to Norcross? Golly...they keep pumping up player after player...and recently they have NOT been heading to Georgia...

This has basically been confirmed now - press conference is set for tomorrow morning @ 11AM. All I can say is: wow. And of course, yes!

There is only one way to go when you're on top - DOWN - and that is where UF is headed. Conversely, UGa is headed in the opposite direction thanks to Felton and now this bit of good news.

Oh yeah, F Florida.

This is the best news since Spurrier left, or should I say Zook was hired.

Is he holding a Dirk Nowitzki doll in that picture?
