Michael Bolton, Bear Bryant, Joseph Stalin and Larry David
Three fairly out of the box SEC comparisons for you this morning.
Travis Fain of the Macon Telegraph has a new blog called Lucid Idiocy where he looks at well...who knows...it's a new blog. But one of his first posts compares the Florida Gators to Michael Bolton. The comparison is built on the Gators good fortune in keeping Billy Donovan and winning three national titles in two years despite no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Erik at DeepSouthSports has put together a tale of the tape comparing Nick Saban to Larry David of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. The comparison begins with Saban pissing off Richt at the SEC Media Days.
While he's on a roll, Erik also discusses the NY Times' comparison of Bear Bryant to Joseph Stalin. Technically, it's more of a comparison of the Bryant Museum to Stalin's Museum in Gori, Georgia. But we're splitting hairs there. Orson weighs in on the NYTimes piece as well.
Just some random humor to start your day.
