Day 11 Headlines

Headlines:Quick editorial (update): I have no problem with giving Joe Cox some snaps. The offensive line from what I'm hearing is stone cold awful right now. They are inexperienced, and our starting QB is likely going to be the crap beat out of him for long stretches this year.

We need the backup QB to have some seasoning because he's more than likely going to come off the bench at some point. Particularly this year. UGA has needed its backup QB in:
2006 - various times re: injuries and performance
2005 - ARK and UF re: injuries
    2004 - GT re: injury
2003 - LSU re: injury (but DG sucked it up and came back)
    2002 - Clemson re: performance
    2001 - no real issues
2000 - second half of season re: injuries
Richt didn't say he's going to a 2 QB system. There's no sense in over reacting here.

I am writing to express my disappointment. I read that Coach Richt has decided to play the two-quarterback system. As a donor, I am not paying my fees to see two quarterbacks!
Yes, fan can decide not to receive tickets, but how would the Athletic Association function without the donation funds?

Competition is good. If the starter struggles, then fine put in the second string quarterback. If the second sting guy were good, enough then he would be the starter!
At FSU, Coach Richt coached Chris Weinke and Charlie Ward and they were not subject to a two-quarterback system. Why the two quarterback system at UGA? Both of these quarterbacks were given the chance to be a quarterback. Both Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke won the Heisman. Could David Green of won the Heisman if UGA did not go to the two-quarterback system?

When you put your head on your pillow tonight, how would you feel if your boss gave you the title of co-head coach, co-athletic director, or co-president, just because they liked another person?

uh...getting Joe Cox "in the game" doest mean we are going to a 2 QB system.

Getting him some live snaps is good for that team in case something (god forbid) happens to Stafford.

Uh- I guess I am not the only one who is beginning to think that Richt enjoys QB controversy.

Having confidence in your backup is one thing, promising playing time is another.

If Richt wants Cox to play so much, then lets blow out some teams and he can play every 4th quarter.

Guys -- the offensive line sounds stone cold terrible right now. We need the backup to get some reps b/c the starter is more than likely going to get KILLED this year.
