SEC Power Poll Ballot

  1. LSU - I know they lost, but they should still win the conference. LSU is good, they just aren't the overwhelming team they were at the start of the year. They've beaten the better teams they've played, but gotten upset in triple overtime by two teams they should have steamrolled. Tiger fans are ready to slit their wrists despite heading to Atlanta.
  2. Georgia - Played well against a good defense, but then again the Dawgs own Georgia Tech. Tough night for Knowshon? No problem. Thomas Brown lit up the Jackets. Please, please, please give us Georgia and USC in the Rose Bowl.
  3. Florida - Memo to Geno: Tebow can take FSU down with a broken hand. The Gator offense could be one of the best in history next year.
  4. Tennessee - The Big Orange just will not die. It seems that they have nine lives after all, consistently avoiding sure defeat through special teams mishaps and timely defensive plays. Will their luck run out against LSU or will the Tigers be too emotionally down to fight?
  5. Auburn - Seven in a row earns Tuberville rumors of a lifetime contract. The game wasn't a thing of beauty, but the Aubs made the plays when they had too.
  6. Arkansas - I know Tebow is great, but McFadden is just incredible. He has no Percy Harvin or even a real threatening passing game to take pressure off of him, but he can just take a game over. LSU had no answer for him. Too bad for the Hawgs, neither McFadden or Nutt will be back for an encore next year.
  7. Mississippi State - Huge comeback to win the Egg Bowl results in Oge going down and Croom chocking up on TV. Who outside of Oxford is cheering against Croom? No body. State is a great story this year. From 45-0 to a bowl appearance.
  8. Kentucky - UK played its guts out in the second half to get back in the game and had the Vols twice, once in regulation (fumbled snap) and in overtime (blocked kick), but the orange mojo wouldn't let them win. Andre Woodson deserved better than fumbling the ball on the last play of his regular season.
  9. South Carolina - Has Shiny Pants ever been through anything like this? A historic collapse leaves the Cocks teetering on the verge of staying home for bowl season.
  10. Alabama - Saban will make Bama a power again, but it looks like the job may be bigger than Saban anticipated. First order of business: hire a competent quarterbacks coach. John Parker WIlson looks brilliant in one instant and lost for longer periods.
  11. Vanderbilt - Wake ran them over, ending their aspirations of bowl eligibility. Same old Vandy.
  12. Ole Miss - Goodbye, Coach O. We will miss you.

UGA 1
LSU 2

Don't care about the fact that UGA is not in the championship. Fact is UGA is playing better.
