"An army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe.
And Sergeant Hulka isn't always gonna be there to be that big toe for us.
I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest,
bestest buddy, and big toe... Sergeant Hulka." -- Bill Murray
Quick recaps on articles of note over the past few days:

Tony Wilson is a devastating blocker at WR, and he should be back for the season opener. Both of those are good things, but he could really use some off season practice sessions with Stafford to improve his catching skills. Here's hoping he gets well soon.
Josh Kendall's article on DawgPost.com about the need for a leader to step up along the OL doesn't shock me. They've got time to find their "big toe" (as Billy Murray would say), but someone needs to step up sooner rather than later...especially with Clint Boling out for Spring with Mono.
Other:
And not player or team news, but David Ching of the Columbus-Ledger has been promoted to full-time coverage of the Georgia Bulldogs. David will be moving to Athens to cover all UGA sports. As an avid reader of his work, I'm thrilled to get more quality coverage of our Dawgs. He was previously only covering football for the paper.

Great reference, PWD. You're a madman. When you stole that cow and your buddy tried to make it with that cow... I want to party with you, cowboy. The two of us together? Forget it.

We’ve got some (candidates to lead the O-line), but I don’t want to mention who they are,” he said. “I don’t want to put that much pressure on them or anoint someone a leader. If you get into anointing one or trying to tell a team who its leader is, that doesn’t work. The players have to naturally follow that player.”
I never thought about it until he said that, but that is exactly what he did with Brandon Miller last year. He anointed Brandon the leader on defense along with Kelin, but it really didn't work out. Now, I'd never want to disparage a former Bulldog not named Quincy, but the Dawgs key to turning around the season was putting B. Miller on the bench. It's probably hard to follow a guy that gets beat regularly and screws up that many assignments every game.
It looks like Mark learned his lesson from last year, and besides, pissing off Coach Searles is probably something even the head coach doesn't want to do. Dude's mean.
I can see Nick Saban as Francis "Psyco" Sawyer...
