Boling Arrested on DUI Charge

According to the Red and Black, Clint Boling (one of our best offensive linemen) was pinched on a DUI charge recently.

NorthFulton.com and DawgPost.com say Boling's side of the story is that he wasn't drinking.

Damn. Just. Damn. (ht - Quinton)

Well at least it's a position we have plenty of depth at... oh wait a minute... crud.

I thought UGA players were limited to scooter crimes.

I feel good about this one. If Clint was shmammerred it's a good thing he didn't take a breathalizer. Now this will go to court, and it will be up to the jury to decide from the cop's dash cam whether Clint was drunk, something that's rarely proven.

This is probably the first of a couple (if we're lucky) more drinking related arrests now that summer is upon us. The mandatory 1.2 game suspension shouldn't hurt too bad considering our first two games. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed he doesn't get arrested again during the semester or whatever the time frame is.

I think it's two alcohol related arrests in your UGA career! Two strikes and you're Akeem Hebron headed to GMC. This is not good.

He didn't take the breathalyzer and says he wasn't drinking; the fact that he's underage hurts but they have no evidence that he was drinking. The Vent has already prosecuted and sentenced Boling for DUI. With a good defense lawyer and a prosecutor not looking to make this an example, this never sees court...and Clint gets his license back as well. If he's not guilty, there should be no punishment other than maybe some gassers or steps to reiterate that he should be more careful.

Gotta wonder why he would refuse the breathalyzer if he had not been drinking. What better way to prove your innocence quickly?

I hope he is indeed innocent, but if he isn't I hope CMR throws the hammer down. DUI is bad enough, but being underage is even more of a stupid decision that deserves a stiff penalty

Which jurisdiction? The Duluth police will pull you over for anything or nothing.

Look at the bright side - at least we pick up a few Fulmer Cup points.....

cltdawg,

Personally, I don't want to be associated with anything related to Fulmer except a Tennessee loss.
