It's not enough that prosperity has been heaped upon the Georgia Athletic programs. It's also important to remember that Tech fans have been forced to watch us bask in the glow of our awesomeness. Daily. With that in mind, I present you with...
When Reality Strikes the Hive

God, the only thing worse would have been some Bulldog fan managing to get a recording of the "Re-GEE" chant from the 2006 UGA/Tech game playing in that thread.
Hilarious.
I like this bit in the original post: "Tell me good really does win out in the end against evil."
It already has. It already has.
Yet I still look at Florida's recent run as a bit sweeter for them give the national championships.
We're not quite their but we're very, very close.
Poor Techies. Their forum isn't even as nice as this (no shot at you PWD, but they should be able to do better than that). Poor, poor Techies.

Your point is well taken, but as a Tech grad, I gotta let you know that many of us avoid the Hive at all costs. Every time I read that forum I feel my IQ drop... I just wish we still had a decent blog that updated frequently.
Plus, we have at least 3 national titles this year.
However, good news for the Techies... the Ultimate Frisbee team I play on which is mostly Tech people beat the mostly UGA team tonight (named Knowshon for Heisman). However, as a UGA grad, I prevented it from being an all-Tech victory.
I love schadenfreude. Karma GATA.... How sweet it is!
I think the techies need to look on the bright side, their grads at the call center in Bangalore don't even care about football.
If you think they're depressed on the Hive PBM now, wait until reality sets in on new coach Paul Johnson's option offense this football season. I'm not predicting a loss to a 1AA team (which we all know has been done over there before. Remember Furman beating them in the Bill Curry era?), but I'll be surprised if they crack .500, notwithstanding all the Polyanna-ish predictions of success.
you'd think Paul Johnson was the Chuck Norris of football coaches. Dont have an option QB? No problem. Dont have a RB who's larger than about 5'7" and 165? Perfect. No returning TE or WRs? Who needs them?
Paul will apparently take players no one else wants and transform them into unbeatable TD machines. Such is his magic. Of course, Gerry Faust was never going to lose a game at ND, either, so you make your choice and you take your chances.
better sack it up, nerds. The deluge awaits.
Wow...I can't believe the guy actually wrote that he wasn't sure what year Tech went to the final four.
"1991, I think"
No, Dummy...it was 1990. Man, you must be a huge fan. Kenny Anderson, Dennis Scott, and Brian Oliver...better known as "Lethal Weapon 3." I hate Tech but I remember that team. If not for a monster UNLV team team, they would have won it all.
You'd think those guys would be hanging on every bit of nostalgia as possible these days...
