ATHENS -- The two-game suspension originally handed Georgia offensive lineman Clint Boling has been reduced to one game according to Bulldog head coach Mark Richt.PWD
The reduced penalty came as a result of original charges against Boling being lessened from an alcohol-related offense to reckless driving.
“With the change in the charges and the attitude that Clint has demonstrated I have reevaluated his situation and decided on the one-game suspension as a fair penalty,” said Richt. “Clint has been remorseful and pro-active in handling all his responsibilities in a mature manner with a good attitude. He’s learned a strong lesson that I’m sure will serve him well from here on.”
Boling appeared in all 13 games last season including 11 starts as a true freshman.

good to hear, not sure how he got the charges reduced but great news anyway.
My personal opinion he was our best guard last year. I know Chris Davis is awesome, but when we pulled Boling he through some hellatious blocks down field. That is great that he will get a warm up game against CMU before we have to play SCUm.
This is a good decision by Richt. It shows he's not willing to back down completely , yet, he rewards the player for making amends.
This is the best case scenario.
