To the shock of exactly no one, Stephen Garcia may return to the Gamecock program as early as Thursday. Garcia has been arrested three times. He has never been suspended from a game...only practices.
I used to think the head ball coach had some integrity when it came to the way he ran his program. I guess it's a lot easier to do the right thing when you've got Parade All-Americans at every position and a world of high school talent just down the road from your Gainesville office.
Garcia was a Top 20 quarterback coming out of high school. He is by far the top QB recruit signed by Spurrier during his Gamecock tenure.
To quote a message board post a while back....South Carolina plays its first two games on Thursday nights. That gives Garcia consecutive Fridays and Saturdays to get himself arrested again before the Georgia game.
Stay classy Columbia.

What's over/under that he'll get in trouble before the season starts??
Its obvious SOS is desperate. As for those delusional SCU fans, they were ripping CMR just last week for not suspending Sturd and Anderson (after they committed the hideous act of touching a pregnant woman's stomach). Today those same fans are relieved that Garcia is back in the fold (after this third arrest.)
Thats pretty typical for them.
For your daily dose of Gamecock dumb....

It's NOT the QB position that gave us fits last year. Let's be honest, it's the Defense. Score points (via touchdowns) and we win. Period.
I cannot believe this comes as a surprise to anyone. This is so typical of Steve Spurrier and the entire USC program. Whatever it takes to win (if they can) is what Spurrier will do. In today's State (newspaper) he said he wasn't worried about Garcia coming back, "if he does he does, if he doesn't it doesn't matter to me, Beecher is my starting QB". We'll see.
Music hasn't been the same since Garcia signed with USC, leaving his gig as frontman for Creed.
Great hair, Taneyhill
