Bison Witches is OUT.

Can we still enjoy the good drink specials at Bison Witches even though they are not the official gathering place or has there been a split that is worthy of a boycott?

As a Tempe resident who stumbled on your site, I just want to let you know that GameWorks is decidedly NOT within walking distance of Sun Devil Stadium, and not somewhere you want to be walking to at night.

We just posted the top five watering holes in Tempe today on our ASU Sports Blog. They're all within walking distance of the stadium, and they have much more to offer than GameWorks and Bison Witches.

Gordon's doesn't look like it has too many TV's. With the UF/Tenn game on at noon local time, that would be a neccessity.

Does anyone know anything about Six Shooters east of the stadium on Rural Street?

Multiple TV's.

Just saying.

@Anon 12:07...if the layout is anything like the Gordon Biersch in Atlanta, there are several large HD screens around a spacious bar area. True, most of the main dining area has no televisions.

The Atlanta location also has a nice loft upstairs that's a secondary bar with pool tables, etc. Many more screens up there too.

If you are looking for something along the lines of Gameworks near Sun Devil Stadium, there is a Dave and Busters at Tempe Marketplace which is an outdoor mall with several other restaurants, a movie theatre and a few bars.

But is not really within CLOSE walking distance (about 2 blocks). You have to walk down Rio Salado Parkway past Karsten Golf Course, fighting tailgaters and game day traffic (which might work out if you are walking). In contrast, Arizona Mills is off the I-10 in South Tempe (ASU is on the north end of Tempe) and is not an easy walk - about 5-6 blocks from campus. You could take a bus.....

Like the above poster said, GameWorks is not within walking distance. It's about 5 miles. Dave and Busters at Tempe Marketplace is about 2 miles (I think the poster above me meant miles when they said "blocks").

Ditto, as an ASU guy about Gameworks as far as distance and crowd. Don't mean to make it out as a total hood area (it isn't), but its slightly below mediocre at best. If you've rented Gameworks out, great - but you will definitley be driving...

I live on mill ave and can say that there is nowhere that you want to be walking besides immediately around the campus, everything else is to far away. Tempe has a great free bus system that goes all over town. The system is great, especially if you are planning on drinking. They have extended hours during home games.

Although there are many bars and restaurants on Mill Ave, don't forget that ASU has one of the largest student population in North America, and the students generally don't leave for weekends. If you are planning something special, reservations are recommended. Also you may want to consider places outside of tempe if you have a car, Scottsdale and Chandler are within a 10 minute drive and have everything.
