We're talking Clemson '03 or possibly even Bama '02 hot.
The forecast:
- Weather Underground - Calls for 90 degree temps at kickoff with it rising to 92 at roughly half-time. Their prediction of 48% humidity equals a heat index of approximately 98 degrees. 20% chance of rain.
- Weather.com - High of 93 degrees. 30% chance of precipitation.
- Accuweather - Predicts a high of 95 degrees with a heat index of 101. In other words, pretty damn hot.

Hope they have enough ice, water and cokes at Sanford.
It's going to rain here in the DC area. I'll just stay in and cursing "The ol' ball coach" every time he's shown on TV.
Get the pickle juice ready!
Gah that Bama game was miserable, especially since I spent all friday night drinking my weight in cheap bourbon. I cant imagine how I would have felt if Bennet had missed that kick.
Something that might bear watching is that the Saturday heat may have an even bigger effect on SC. We've played (and suffered through) two afternoon games already. They've played twice on Thursday nights. A muggy and sun-brite-hot Williams-Brice might just have a bigger effect on them than they are expecting. If so, the depth chart should be our friend.
Uh, they practice in Columbia.
Uh, I understand that. But, as anyone who has ever played the game knows, there is a big difference between the conditioning you get used to in practice and that you get through game times. Game stress kills your legs; practice not so much. Ever see anybody gulping oxygen or sitting under a mist-fan during practice?
Don't forget the 88 South Carolina game in the annals of unGodly hotness.
