BCS Standings: Georgia now ranked #6

The new BCS Standings are out, and the Georgia Bulldogs are up to 6th from 7th last week. BCS Guru Rick Tellshow has compiled the computer numbers, and he has the Dawgs 4th in the non-human polls. That momentum is fueling our upward overall trajectory.

Brad Edwards of ESPN.com suggests that it will be very tough for Southern Cal to top a 1 loss SEC team without significant help from human pollsters. One spot in the rankings isn't significant help. They would likely need to give the Trojans several spots in the pecking order to get in.

BCS Standings

RkTeamBCS Avg.
1Texas0.998
2Alabama0.949
3Penn State0.925
4Oklahoma0.827
5USC0.782
6Georgia0.770
7Texas Tech0.743
8Florida0.729
9Oklahoma St.0.674
10Utah0.669
11Boise St.0.636
12OhioSt.0.537
13TCU0.506
14Missouri0.474
15Florida St.0.368
16Ball State0.337
17Minnesota0.305
18Tulsa0.296
19LSU0.291
20BYU0.290
21Michigan St.0.211
22North Carolina0.209
23South Florida0.067
24Oregon0.065
25Connecticut0.063

Based on the computer polls, Georgia can possibly over take Southern Cal and Oklahoma to become the top ranked 1 loss team in the country next week. That of course assumes that Texas beats Texas Tech. I'd wager that UT would become the top rated one loss team if they lost to Leach's Pirates of Lubbock.

The fix is in for State Penn to be in the BCSCG.

Herbie and the rest of the liberal, commie, pinko, fag northeastern, Bristol, CT; clock sucking ass clowns have awarded Joe Pa the coke bottle glasses of victory.

We're fecked and beating Flarduh won't help. I'm convinced an undefeated Bama will drop just so these SOBs get what they want.

We need to pull out of the BCS like it was a prom date on a full moon.

I would rather texas tech actually win that game. tech would is much more likely to lose another game in their schedule as they play ok state and oklahoma. also, if we beat florida, texas would have to be below us as a one loss team.

Hey jasper...everybody on here is not a three-toothed North Ga backwoods banjo-playing hick.

(I remember the time when my roommate and I stopped for gas at a station in Ellijay and some as-described-above-fool drove by and shouted the n-word at him.)

If we win out and PSU is the only undefeated team then we will be in the NC game against PSU!

To the above, you're leaving out God's gift to College Football, USC. *rolls eyes*

Just win the SEC.. it's EARNED, not a vote..

We will jump USC if we beat florida. We were the #1 team to start out the year and if we beat florida it will take a #1 team effort.

The Dawgs are a team possessed right now and to win out the rest of the games and the SEC championship will send them to the BCSNCG easy alot of football left

Just win. I think the team realizes they got too caught up in the rankings, etc., and if they just WIN, everything will take care of itself.

It'd be nice to play an undefeated Penn State or Texas, though, wouldn't it?

(p.s. Penn State's schedule is a joke. Even if they're undefeated and an SEC team has a loss, it's a joke if they go to the Champ game over the SEC team)
