I feel totally unpumped for this game. Last week I was excited, nervous, etc. (nerd, yes). This week, I almost feel timid. I don't know if our team matches up. Damn I hope I'm wrong. Damn I hope Richt shows the guys the videos from last year's game and the game in '97, and the Lindsay Scott game, etc. I hope these guys are so pissed off over the fallout from "the celebration" that they come out and hit the Gators in the mouth so hard that Tebow, Harvin, and the others are just a tiny bit scared the rest of the way.

I hate the Gators. Come on Dawgs, beat the piss outta these guys. You are the better team. You're also the underdog. No one besides Bulldog Nation wants you to win. Prove them wrong.

I have felt better every day about this game.

UF is unproven this year. Sure they might beat us, but we're by far the best team we've played this season.

Gonna be a blast.

GREAT VIDEO!

GO DAWGS!

"I don't know if our team matches up."

We match up better against Florida than any other team we play.

We have recruited strictly to beat the gaytors. And that is exactly what we are going to do.

It's good to know your enemy! Make sure that UGA has some good Gator chew toys!

The video still makes me smile. I forgot how Urban Crier tried to get Florida fans excited for the next play and just couldn't match our intensity. Every day that passes until this game, I am getting more fired up--Urban is a douche.

This reminds me of a couple of things.

Them rushing the field on a very close TD, can you imagine the fallout if there had been a flag or he hadn't got in upon futher review. I shudder to think.

Anyway, man we got after Tebow that game, hope Willie dials up the same defense. Our speed matches theirs.

Officially fired up. The best part of the celebration was when the band began playing and all the players o nthe field starting jumping up and down at once. The CBS crew switched to a shot of Marcus Howard, but other angles show everyone jumping at the same time. Awesome!

I, as always, am cautiously optimistic. I've been in Kansas all week with a Gator grad that's been feeding me the same crap. "28-24 sounds like a good margin of victory". I hope his gloating curses the Gators. Here's hoping that Demarcus Dobbs turns into Marcus Howard tomorrow.

is this a joke? Check out Scout's Inc's matchups: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/features/take2?gameId=283060061

I find it hard to believe that Tebow has the edge over Stafford (this year) and Meyer over Richt (this year again... Meyer won his title with Zook's players)

COME ON DAWGS!!!!!

Watching that second video, you can tell how much Knowshon truly loves to run the ball (and the game generally), and it looks like he enjoys it most against the Gators. I'm looking for that intensity tomorrow.

That second video is amazing. I have been nervous all week about this game. Somehow watching that video makes me excited to see if the Bulldogs can bring that same intensity.

I cannot remember the last time I was more nervous, excited, hopeful, and pumped for a GA-FLA game.

AJC: Rumor that Dawgs will be in all red.

LOL. Please, let's not go down that road, Dawgs.

The Scouts Inc. analysis is indeed flawed. But the fact of the matter is, they had to make those changes or they wouldn't have been able to pick Florida.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, they need to worry less about playing dress up and practicing dance, and focus more on winning.

Anonymous said...

Agreed - we're not like Oregon or Miami changing uniforms every 2 quarters.

Has ESPN's Gameday ever done a show from this game? Probably not since CBS has the rights to it, but as much as ESPN has been hyping it all week, you think they'd want it.

+1 Anon 8:06.

I guess just like our National Championship from 28 years ago, we can live in the past. It's funny how I actually believed UGA had a shot against Florida this year. Boy was I wrong. I hate to say it, but Meyer may actually be a better Coach than Richt. It'll be hard for anyone to argue otherwise...What a joke.

Anonymous said...

may as well just get used to it...this year would prove whether last year was an anomaly or a shift in the series.

now we know.

Anonymous said...

not that it really matters in the long run...but most of our momentum changers early-on were taken away by bogus calls.

nevertheless, it shouldn't be this bad. ugh.

Capital One Bowl here we come!!!

Anonymous said...

Capital One Bowl? Heck will be lucky to got the Peach Bowl, excuse me Chick Fil A Bowl. GT will give us a run for our money, and I not convinced that Auburn won't beat us. Richt simply does not get UGA up for big games. After Knowshon and Stafford leave, we'll be a slightly better version of Clemson for years to come...

Andrew said...

And, predictably, the first to their keyboards cave the roof in. Take a breath. As long as we can get patched up and pull back together this week, Kentucky and Auburn are perfectly winnable games. We have a bye week going into Tech, and they've looked downright bad against ACC competition. It's a letdown, sure, but Richt has shown he can get this team up for big games, and I think he will do it quite effectively in the coming years.

Any comparisons to teams like Clemson are just ludicrous.

Anonymous said...

Two big games, two big embarrassments.

I guess this is not the year..., but I don't agree with ClemsonDawgs - we have a lot of young talent on this team, even when Stafford and Knowshon leave, I don't think we are going to fall apart. But will we be in serious competition for a national championship anytime soon? Until we can stop getting are asses whooped, I don't think so....

Anonymous said...

are asses => our asses

sorry, its late, i'm a bit drunk, and i really hate florida and TT more than ever right now...

Anonymous said...

Changes need to be made on this coaching staff.

When talent is about even, the opponent's coaching will win out more times than not.

Plus if talent on the field is about even, the other team usually shows a lot more heart.

I haven't been this embarrassed since the Visor was on the Fl sideline.

Changes need to be made.

If things like this happen in one form or another several times a year, fundamental changes must be made.

we don't lose often, but when we lose... I agree with the comment above.
