1. Alabama - If they get by Ole Miss, there should be no reason they don't roll into Baton Rouge undefeated for the glowing, pulsating cauldron of hate that will be Bama - LSU.
2. Florida - That's how that offense is supposed to work. The Gators embarrassed a defensive line that was hyped as one of the best in the history of college football with wide line splits and miniature running backs. It was scary stuff.
3. Georgia -More muddling from UGA's offense. At the rate they are going through offensive tackles, I expect Stafford to be lined up there by the Georgia Tech game.
4. LSU -Now you know how Georgia fans felt at halftime of the Alabama game. LSU isn't that bad, but they have some flaws (passing and stopping the pass) that may not be fixable. That D line's reputation took a big hit giving up over 250 yard rushing.
5. South Carolina -All of a sudden, Carolina looks competitive, just in time for a visit from LSU. Garcia may be entrenched (or at least as entrenched as a Spurrier QB can hope to become) after a solid performance against Kentucky.
6. Vanderbilt - The 'Dores got 107 yards of total offense and ran for only 45 yards against a bad running defense. The task gets taller Saturday in Athens, but Vandy has won a 12:30 kickoff between the hedges recently.
7. Ole Miss - I expect a tight game in Tuscaloosa based on how Nutt teams typically play Bama and that Nutt wins games he shouldn't and loses games he shouldn't. On paper, this is a game that Ole Miss should lose terribly, thus Nutt will play it close or win.
8. Kentucky -Needs a conference win badly.
9. Mississippi State -Here come Croom's dogs. After a big win over a ranked opponent, do I dare forget the horrible performances earlier this year? Can MSU generate enough offense to get to Shreveport?
10. Arkansas -After weeks of saying the Hawgs wouldn't win another game this year, Auburn makes me look bad.
11. Tennessee -The Vols are a total mystery. They have good running backs, a solid offensive line, a great defensive line and Eric Berry. How can all of that look so, so bad? I don't know, but I like it.
12. Auburn - Oy.

God, I hope LSU's D-line is just highly overrated, because is Florida's offense is that good (and I thought it would be around that good in pre-season before we seemed to trade injuries every week in July and August, and they lost an all-world TE in Ingram) the Cocktail Party could be scary.
Bad news w/r/t LSU's dline: they were without their best DT against Florida.
Good news for the Dawgs: with him, LSU still somehow managed to give up 20+ to MSU and Auburn.
No pass rush = loss to FU, guaranteed. It hasn't shown up yet, why would it by then?
Herbstreit was on 680 yesterday and said that Georgia's defense has been a disappointment this year. I agree.
Piss on Florida. Piss on LSU. We've got Vanderbilt this weekend. Every game takes on a different set of characters. How else does Missouri lose to Oklahoma State? How else does LSU get donkey-stomped by Florida? We must worry about Vanderbilt this week - not just the team, but all of us.
The front four and pass rush we've seen thus far will be a different bunch when all eyes are on us in Baton Rouge and in Jacksonville. I know that (I hope that).
I wouldn't admit it in public, but I was dead-set that we were going to get manhandled by Florida last year. Just my two cents, but I'm not going to worry about LSU or Florida until we take care of VU.
As usual on this blog lately, may all the Vandy fans, LSU fans, Florida fans and Auburn fans now make fun of me. Bama fans too - come one, come all. Yeah, I still got my black jersey in the closet.
Just a reminder......Florida lost to Ole Miss the week before. They didn't suddenly become the best team in the universe after one week of practice.

Good lord..you guys are pissing in your pants over 1 game. LSU's defense made AU's QB look like a heisman trophy winner. It gave
20+ to both MSU & AU...the 2 worst offenses in the SEC.
LSU finally played somebody with a offense and they got exposed. Not to mention their QB is terrible..which didn't help their defense.
UF is the same team that loss to Ole Miss. The still have huge problems on defense, specially against the run. Our game with them will probably be a 45-30 type game.
We are in much better shape right now then we were last year. As much as people want to say how disapointing our D is this year, at this point last year we didn't have a good pass rush either. Marcus Howard didn't emerge as a big time threat until the coctail party last year. If anything can be taken from the past year and a half of college football it is that you can bet on 18-19 year old kids to play consistant all year long. If we just make the same steps we did last year we will be pretty nasty. I'm glad we haven't put it all together yet. I wouldn't want to go into this stretch knowing we have allready played our best ball.

Regarding UT:
- Their RBs are just *OK*.
- Their DL is capable of making great individual plays, but seems susceptible to getting pushed around for long drives.
- The QB play is...not so much.
Smells like 2006 Georgia to me, but with even more of a leadership issue at the top...hence dwindling the likelihood of a bowl.
