Go Gator in the BS. Urban Meyers is an outstanding corch. Percy Harvey gutsly play won him the game ball!

Somebody elected her. In Florida.

Apparently just anyone can hold office. Competence encouraged, but not required.

Plus she got a master's degree from UF.

A master's degree. Let that sink in for a sec.

Does she really believe that UF is the best academic school in the country?

She has probably never heard of Harvard.
Maybe not even Stanford.
CERTAINLY never heard of Swarthmore, MIT, or Columbia.

It's a dream-world of Gator magic, and the rest of us just live in it.

In Education--of course. Yes, those of you out there with "degrees" in Education, I'm calling you out. Did you get fries with that when got your sheepskin from the window?

She must be the Cynthia McKinney for Florida?!?!
Can't even read her own speech?

Anonymous said...

and you wonder why our country is in the shape its in now. Just look at our so-called leaders...

She don't talk too good.

She is the wrong person to be calling a fine academic institution. She can barely enunciate. I doubt she even wrote that.

Why do politicians waste time doing this stuff? I would bitchslap a UGA grad for the same offense.

I saw a remix of this earlier. Go Gator!

Its sad when a congreswoman gets up and reads a prewritten speech and still can't use correct english. IE, " The U of Florida have won 2 of the past 3 years."

OMG

And we want the government to fix the BCS? Just look what they have done to golf...

This is only a preview as the complete rulebook is being written now. Here are a couple of basic changes.

Golfers with handicaps:

- below 10 will have their green fees increased by 35%
- between 11 and 18 will see no increase in green fees
- above 18 will get a check from the club/course each time they play

The $ amount put in bets will be as follows:

-for handicaps below 10 an additional $10
-between 11 and 18 no additional amount
-above 18 you will receive the total amount in the pot even if you do not play.

The term "gimme" putt will be changed to "entitlement" and will be used as follows:

-handicaps below 10, no entitlements
-handicaps above 11 to 17, entitlements for putter length putts
-handicaps above 18, if on green, no need to putt, just pick it up

These entitlements are intended to bring about fairness & most importantly equality in scoring.

In addition, a player will be limited to a max of one birdie and/or six
pars, any excess must be given to those fellow players who have not yet
scored a birdie or par. Only after all players have received a birdie or
par from the player making the birdie or par, can that player begin to count
his par/birdies again.

The current USGA handicap system will be used for the above purposes but
the term 'net score' will be available only for scoring those players with
handicaps 18 and above. This is intended to 'redistribute' the success of
winning by making sure that in every competition the above 18 handicap
players will count only 'net score' against every other player's gross score.

These new Rules are intended to CHANGE the game of golf. Golf must be
about Fairness. It should have nothing to do with Ability.

Paul: I must axe you not to put anything else like this making fun of UF on your blog. It's not good sportmanship.

Anonymous said...

Hey Rbubp, What the heck is that about? I happen to have two degrees in education and I am working on my third. On behalf of all people with education degrees, screw you :)

She not good at talking engrish.....

First of all, has she looked at the academic standards for atheletes? This cracks me up, she really has no idea who/what she is talking about. Got to love the sportsmanship shown by running up scores and doing the Gator chomp in opponents faces.

Forget about FSU. Who was taking her tests for her??

FL has no place to complain about bad sportsmanship.

From Wikipedia:

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Brown attended Florida A&M University, from which she received both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Public Speaking, and the University of Florida, where she was awarded a Masters degree. She received an Communications/Speech degree from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, and has been on the faculty at the latter two schools and at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. She served in the Florida House of Representatives for ten years before entering government at the national level.

She's certainly no Lynn Westmoreland or Paul Bron.

Degree in public speaking. I guess we know what that is like at FAMU! Go Rattlers Band however...

MikeInValdosta said...

She just needs to borrow Barrack's teleprompters.

Don't leave home, er, don't speak without them.

I guess the wouldn't help much if the former gainesville professor can't read English.

Corch Urban Meyers!

This is pure comedy gold...especially that remix link.

How could somebody vote for this clown. Embarrassment for voters everywhere.

We are in real trouble with this kind of talent in D.C.

Mike in Valdosta, you are so onto something here.

There's something about this congresswoman and the President that I don't like either.

And yes--their speaking styles seem VERY similar.

MikeInValdosta said...

not to pile on, but check this out with regards to teleprompter communicators

I think Lou could be out of a job with her witty and concise game commentary.

Anon 10:21,

Her Wikipedia bio just gets better from there.

Alright guys. Ease up.

There's no comparison whatsoever between the speech patterns and styles of the President (who I didn't vote for) and this Congresswoman.
