Tonight at 7:00 pm (TV FS South), the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will face off at Turner Field with major post-season implications for the Dawgs. Per the ABH:
But perhaps the biggest reason the Bulldogs have to beat Georgia Tech tonight is momentum - to extend what it gained with Sunday's 4-3 win over Vanderbilt and to build towards the last Southeastern Conference series of the year at South Carolina. You can be a part of the action, and help raise money to support Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Tickets cost $10 and are available at the door. The event typically draws 20,000-28,000 fans. In fact, the 2004 game drew the second largest crowd to ever watch a regular season college baseball game.
"It'll be a snowball effect," catcher Joey Lewis said. "It'll keep rolling right into next weekend."
UPDATE REGARDING MARTA: Marta does NOT typically run a shuttle from Five Points / Underground to Turner Field for this game like they do for Braves games. If you want to take Marta, exit at E1 Georgia State. It's a one mile (15-20 minute) walk from there.
According to Weather.com, tonight's forecast calls for 71-65 degree weather and less than a 10% chance of rain. It'll be a great night to enjoy a cold beer at Turner Field. That's right...the beer man will be ready for you.
In the various polls, the Dawgs are ranked 15th, 18th and 27th while Tech is ranked 8th, 8th and 7th respectively. Tech's RPI is 2nd while UGA's is 19th according to WarrenNolan.com. This is a game the Dawgs need to win.

I have friends who've relied on CHOA for treatment of rare infant illnesses, and they sing the praises for this organization. That's why the Georgia Sports Blog is sponsoring this year's event at the "Double Sponsor" level.
