Rep. Corrine Brown gets taken to the woodshed

...by Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Your tax dollars at work. You may remember Brown from the Gradulations Video.

Update: Locking the thread because it's out of hand.

The only thing more surprising than their mostly correct usage of grammar is the fact that the word incumbent stands beside their names.

Go phonics!

The only thing sad about that is the Republicans haven't figured out how to get them out of office.

Here's hint....they may have to run somebody else besides an old white guy.

Don't they have more important things to do? And we wonder why our country is crumbling financially and in numerous other ways.

I love the fact that we have congress members with tons of time on their hands! It's not like there is anything going on in the U.S. right now. It is sad that our republican party is collectively as smart as a box of rocks.

Gerrymandering is bad, but it is going to get worse with Rahm Emanuel (and ACORN) running the 2010 census.

BTW, the (D) has morphed into dumbass.

What ever happened to the Sam Nunns and Zell Millers of the world.

Simply sad. Our country won't fall because of an enemy taking us down, it will because of dumbass congresswomen and men like that and worse yet the dumbasses who voted them in. More interested in themselves than SERVING.

So very glad Congresswoman is not one of our US reps. Just one more thing wrong with our neighbors to the south.

I had to turn that off about halfway through because it was making my nads hurt too bad.

It appears she is now going to run for Senate to boot. She is the only Congressperson that I have seen that makes Cynthia McKinney look good....not really, but ole Cynthia could at least put a sentence together.

It is absolutely scary to know that we have people like this making decisions and policy for this nation. Just absolutely, plum, damn scary.

Brown is a world-class idiot.

To compare her to Obama and his aides-de-camp, however, is stupid.

I live in a town in which the commission is split 50/50 along racial lines, and the politics would be comical if they weren't so ineffective (and harmful).

BTW, Zell Miller is a prick of mammoth proportions.

Dear NRBQ,
1. Yes - you have a keen grasp of the obvious
2. You're correct - she should not be compared to Obama. Cynthia McKinney and her idiot father would make good comparisons. Or perhaps Buckwheat.
3. You must live in Atlanta
4. You call Zell a prick. I call him a man that says it like it is, which is a rare form of communication that some folks just cannot handle. Kinda goes hand-in-hand with personal accountability and self-awareness. In a world of "blame others" and "it's not my fault", I find his approach very refreshing.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED that this video led to some not-so-thinly veiled racist comments.

On a UGA site, no less. Who would have thought?

Anon at 8:34 a.m.,

Nice use of the same broad brush of which you complain.

Honestly, to call Georgia people racist is nuts. In case you hadn't noticed, our universal favorite person is a black dude named Herschel. Instead, it is that the above-referenced posts were written by people who don't like their public servants being total idiots.

Hank - it's not a "broad brush" if all you have to do is look above and see examples.

And honestly, if anyone can defend the comment:

"These two minority women are proof that our President is an absolute anomaly."

as ANYTHING but racist, be my guest.

And, fwiw, I'm probably a bigger UGA supporter than any of you commenting.

Anon 6:51/8:34: This is the problem with our current society. No longer can one express his/her opinions regarding individuals of any given group without being branded as racist. It only takes 37 seconds to realize Mrs. Go Gator, Maxine Waters, is not our sharpest elected offical. Oh, mix into the equation that she is a gator, "Go Gator", and you have a pretty solid. I am certain that you would be happy with Mrs. Go Gator as your Congresswoman.

Yeah, I just bet you are. Tell Dr. Adams hey next time y'all are spooning.

Anon @ 8:02 and Mike - Actually gerrymandering may be the only way that a Maxine Waters or Corrine Brown will be forced out of office short of a political scandal.

Read Nate Silver's article in this month's Esquire. He can explain it much better in two pages than I could here.

Also, are these folks any stupider than Lynn Westmoreland? He wanted to post the 10 Commandments in goverment buildings and then could not name all of them.
