Mark Bradley picks up where we left off regarding the rumor Mike Adams may replace Myles Brand as NCAA President. Bradley points out that Atlanta's own Parker Executive Search is spearheading the search to fill the position. Dan Parker is no stranger to personnel in Athens. His boutique was responsible for the searches to replace Charles Knapp, Vince Dooley, and Dennis Felton.
It doesn't take much imagination to see how Adams installment as NCAA president could be a fait accompli. Inside job or not, the ends totally justifies the means. His refusal to make a Shermanesque statement regarding his candidacy keeps hope alive.

Then who do the Regents bring in? Be careful, the "cure" could be worse. I worked in Higher education for a while and saw some odd hires.
first!
This Dan Parker guy must have some eye for people with great potential to lead.
He got us Damon Evans who has done nothing but good things with our athletic department.
and the Mark Fox hire was questionable at the time but man is that guy impressive.
and lets be honest, Micheal Adams has done a great job with the UNIVERSITY of georgia.. sure we all hate him for different sports related issues, but the guy has done nothing but positives for the academic side of things in athens.. its not by accident that the incoming freshmen class at georgia has an AVERAGE GPA of 4.0!!
As much as i'd love to see Adams get the heck out of Athens, if Perdue is really going to replace him at UGA, then i'd just as soon keep the devil i already know...
I have increased reason to believe this will happen based on two separate conversations this week.
I'd lay 80% or so he goes to the NCAA.

Wonders for academics???
The HOPE scholarship has done wonders for academics at UGA. Adams has ridden the coattails.
Adams has made some questionable moves that may have set things back in some departments.
Someone more involved around campus than myself may differ. I speak from my personal experience at UGA.
Good way for Parker to make 2 commissions - 1 for Adams to NCAA, and one for finding his replacement at UGA
Please NCAA... PLEASE take this miscreant of Georgia tradition away from UGA! Once you do, I will rejoin the alumni society and give the donations I have been saving to the university!
