New Site Look

I'm redesigning the site. Almost finished? What do you think?

Check it on a Blackberry. It's much, much, much more usable on mine. I'm curious if it looks any better on an iPhone.

Clean. If if he's clean let him in

Is he brown?

Looks like you are trying to fix something that isn't broken, but that just may be me.

Looks good, clean. Perhaps you could put a G logo background to the left and right borders where it is just white?

Is he polite? Have him take off his shoes.

Most influential movie during my long college career.

I've been reading your blog for a few years now and I have to agree with Ollllddude.

Get AJ up top and integrate the search bar, and you've got a winner. And then a background image or a color would come next, but that's just icing the cake. Keep all that other stuff on the right - that's a chicken dinner.

Hell no it's not broke - but that don't mean you can't wax it. Lookin' good.

a little too white. maybe get some red in there somewhere?

Damned soft zone... Fire Wil... Whoops, wrong subject. Sure man, looks great! :)

Where am I? What happened?

Looks good.

Andy - I don't think I know how to move AJ above the search stuff. This is a new template that I'm working from. My old template was so custom that there was a ton of things I couldn't do from a management standpoint. It was cumbersome.

Plus, there were some ads I couldn't accept. I had lost the ability to take them.

I'm working on a new image.

Also trying to figure out how to add a background color somewhere. So far, I haven't figured that out.

can we get a link to HJS? i use your site as my jump off point and that is a must read for me, as well as gtp, and hales blog...

If you're talking about Hey Jenny Slater, then...done.

I thought I had added him, but I forgot.

Much better on the iPhone. I don't have to center the page any more

In case you guys missed it, the nerds are having an internet bake sale to get their 'mascot' down to Miami for the game.

I didn't believe it until I read it either

Loads a lot faster on the iPhone, as well.

Personally, the other was more appealing to the eye. It is clean as noted. For some reason, I don't like the text pushed over to the left, but it seems that helps with iPhones, which I don't have.

Looks clean, maybe a little too clean with the white bground. Try z-index layering to place the search box inside the headline image.

Unknown said...

GT - How do I do that? I'm not familiar with Z-index. My skills are weak.

Works better on my blackberry...but there is a lot of white within IE 8.0.

Unknown said...

I agree with you guys. Too much white. Working to figure that one out.

It's much more readable on iTouch but kinda boring on a PC. Definitely too white and doesn't seem like space is well utilized.

Looks great on my Blackberry.

Nice work.

Thanks for the "Swingers" quotes...

Good. Does load faster on the iPhone as well.

I can read without making text bigeer on iphone as well, (i think).

Add another vote of approval from an iPhone user. But yeah, needs some color.

A thousand bucks to drag a Model A to S.Fla and back?

Is it really possible that not ONE of their fans/alumni has an F-350 or big Dodge pick-up that can pull a trailer?

Looks great on my Droid.

PWD - To follow-up on GT's suggestion, use the CTRL-SysRq key and type <:hts_font_%*^^*&aodfi.com> Then smash your keyboard and throw your mouse at your PC. I have found this to work really well with technology. Doesn't do anything, but you'll feel great!

Then call some 10 year old down the street to come and fix the white background.
