Damon Evans

I am not currently in a position logistically to comment on this.

You shouldn't be drinking this early, PWD.

Let's see them play that video at Sanford Stadium this fall.

A student-athlete must miss at least 10 percent of his team's games when he gets arrested for alcohol related offenses. Does that mean the athletic director should be suspended for ten percent of the school year?

Damon must step down. He needs to go home, pray his wife doesn't leave him and focus on being a good husband and father. You cannot represent the University of Georgia right now.We as adults cannot expect our young people to not drink and drive, or we can't expect them to understand that faithfulness to one's family is important if we allow Damon to keep his job. I will pray for him and his family and I wish him well, but he has let out of control behavior ruin his career with UGA.

I think he might be a little drunk in that video. I suspect he's so drunk that he can't even remember the words, so he has to read them from a cue card or something. Unbelievable, this guy!

So far we know that Damon was pulled over and arrested for DUI. If the charges stand I don't see how he can continue as AD. He's in a position of leadership of a group of predominately underage student athletes. The attached PSA just demonstrates the difficulties he'll have being a leader under the circumstances.

I think Damon has done a terrific job at UGA and I hate to see this happen, but I don't see how he can remain, if the charges stand.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes the Administration to make its move.

Just a sad day for everyone involved.

You're fired.

Columbia,

When Neil Callaway got his DUI, he did lose 10% of his salary. He also lost a future raise, and he was put on zero tolerance.

Damon can save his job as long as the rumored arrest video isn't as bad as it is rumored to be.

And as long as his lady friend keep her mouth shut. And as long as another lady friend doesn't pop up.

Hidden microphone catches last words spoken to Damon Evans by Courtney Fuhrmann before they were pulled over

What precedents are there for college ADs charged with DUI? I can't find any.

What an idiot! He had such a wonderful, coveted job. He showed no respect for the University of Georgia, who hired him and gave him the chance of a lifetime. It;s like he slapped the university and all of his supporters in the face. Embarrassing for the state of Georgia- it will probably be all over the news in the USA.
