Scheduling Stuff - Alabama Trip Delayed?

Reading Blutarsky's snark on scheduling led me to this nugget:
Some potential matchups for 2013 would include, Alabama at Georgia, Arkansas at Florida, Auburn at Kentucky, LSU at Missouri, Ole Miss at Tennessee, Mississippi State at South Carolina and Texas A&M at Vanderbilt. Those, of course, are merely guesses at this point, based on openings and length of time between recent games. There will not be home-and-home series in consecutive years for rotating opponents as there were up through 2011. However, seeing a team once every six year isn’t mathematically feasible either. The more plausible scenario is that it will be either five or seven years between games. I’ll spare you the details, but it would likely be 2020 before any of the 2013 rotating opponents meet again, and 2025 before they return to the site of next year’s games.
Alabama in Athens next year, then, if that's right, we won't go back to Tuscaloosa until 2025.

FYI-The 2025 date is for a return to Athens. We would likely visit Tuscaloosa in either 2018 or 2020, depending on the 5 or 7 year model..

That's nuts.

That makes more sense. The math was hurting my head, but that didn't seem right.

I HATE superconferences. It makes no sense to share a conference with teams that you rarely play. Its a return to pre 2003 SEC scheduling except it will be much worse. And no, we won't be playing Bama and LSU in Atlanta in between, not under the current status quo.

If I'm reading it correctly, and assuming it's correct, we would go to Tuscaloosa in 2020. They wouldn't make a return trip to Athens until 2025.

Tyler... Jeff is right. 2019 give or take in Ttown. Next trip to Athens would be 2025.
