Dawgs beat Texas A&M

I'm a day behind, so I'm guessing you knew Georgia beat Texas A&M for their 5th win in a row. The exciting/astonishing news is that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was held to his lowest scoring total on the year at 10 points, all from the free throw line. He also held Texas A&M's best player, Elston Turner, to just 13 points, with 9 of those coming on free throws.

Yes, Georgia won despite our only consistent scoring threat going 0fer the game from the field. To be fair he only attempted 3, but still....

Neme lead the Dawgs with 13, including a stellar 4-5 from the free throw line. Hopefully, he's getting his mojo back. Maybe more stunningly, the Dawgs held off a late 8 point Texas A&M run for the win. We are getting good at holding off runs, something we've not done well in ten years.

The Dawgs get a chance to show how real this thing can be with 4th place Alabama coming to town Tuesday. Win and we are tied for 4th in the conference. We'll also virtually assure ourselves of not having to play on Wednesday night in Nashville at the SEC Tournament.

Tip is 9pm Tuesday at Stegeman.
