Oh, this guy.

If al.com is reporting it, it isn't something made up. Not that he'll actually go to Gainesville, especially considering some other jobs are also open that might fit his background a bit better (I'm looking at you Nebraska). McElwain was Saban's OC when they crushed Florida in the SEC Championship, and he brings a strong offensive pedigree. He also has great hair.
