Tech hires Josh Pastner from Memphis to coach Men's basketball

It's a name brand hire, actually far higher up the food chain than I thought they'd get. Pastner has been on the Memphis hot seat, after not getting to the post season the past two seasons. In fact, Memphis fans are probably holding a festival right now.

As for what he'll do at Tech? The book on him has always been good recruiter, average teacher, worse coach. If he can find a way to stem the Tide of ATL AAU one and done guys to the likes of UK and Duke, he'll have a shot to lift Tech's program from the bottom of the ACC and give UGA fits.

If he can't do that, we can expect more Stingtalk goodness.
