The Cherrishinski -- The Drink That Almost Was

In his book Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, Warren St. John talks about traveling with some Alabama fans who invented a drink/popper called the "Bama Bomb." The Bama Bomb consists of cherries marinated in golden grain alcohol for a period of weeks or months.

After the UT game 3 weeks ago, one of my friends took a large jar of cherries and marinated them in a Golden Grain/Makers Mark mix. The creation debuted Friday night before the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. We all made a pact that if Georgia won the Gator game this hellish creation would forever be known as "The Cherrishinski."

Alas, the drink may never see the light of day again.

Full Credit to the Name goes to Ryan. A 3rd Year law student at UGA.

Much like Joe T's touchdown catch, the Cherrishinski should have been a classic. My favorite comment from the tailgate was the young lady who ate a formerly-known-as-the-Cherrishinski and proclaimed, "I can't feel the left side of my mouth!"

Perhaps Richt couldn't see half the field after trying one- the downfield half.
